Artist’s Note

Ancient cultures have always drawn me in because of their ways: their approaches to health, community, and the beliefs that guide daily life. It feels like they are able to have a more lasting impact on their people than most of us. I see them like ever-burning flames - steady, unextinguished across centuries, carrying culture and belief through time without fading.This drawing came together slowly, because the eyes refused to be rushed.
