Beyond the Frame…

There’s something funny about how music seems to outlive the body… as if it never really needed one in the first place.

This piece began as a small joke: bones doing what bones aren’t meant to do. But it quickly gained meaning to me. A skeleton has no lungs to hold a breath, no ears to catch a frequency, no nervous system to spark… and still, we read rhythm into the frame immediately. We don’t question his posture. We simply assume he’s listening. Possibly very into it.

In the end this felt less like drawing death and more like capturing whatever it is that keeps playing long after it should have stopped.
