Beyond the Frame…

The cranium is a masterwork of biological fortification. It begins as a series of separate plates that gradually fuse into a single, seamless shell—22 bones coming together over time to support the face and house our most vital sensory organs.

In this study, I wanted to capture the duality of the structure by providing both the frontal and side profiles. Drawing these two perspectives side-by-side allowed me to map the incredible architecture required to shield our most delicate tissues. I focused on the stark, clean lines of the bone to emphasize its strength; it is a reminder that we are designed with an internal armor, built specifically to protect the way we see, hear, smell, and taste the world.
