Artist’s Note

My favorite character in the whole of Cars is Mater. He loved Lightning, apart from his accomplishments, and showed him a side of himself he didn’t know existed. Mater is the kind of friend my dad encouraged my sister and I to be as kids.

To me, Cars is one of Disney’s greatest movies. They were masters at entertaining you, while still teaching you valuable lessons.
